Job Overview 

​

As a Social Media Editor at PFM, you are an integral part of our fast-paced agency with a focus on shaping, refining, and managing content across various social media platforms. A keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of social media trends, and the ability to align with our vision of inspiring a kinder, more supportive social media industry are key to succeeding in this role. Working closely with a Social Media Strategist, you will help ensure the content we publish is managed with the highest attention to detail and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Schedule, copywrite, edit, and oversee engaging social media content on numerous social media platforms.

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Strategist to implement content strategies for various social media platforms.

  • Manage the social media content calendar, scheduling posts for optimal engagement.

  • Stay updated on social media trends and algorithm changes.

  • High-level assessment of content performance, leveraging insights to optimize future content for engagement and impact.

  • Community engagement on social media platforms.

  • Uphold content standards, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and laws.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing insights and updates on content strategies and social media trends.

  • Attention to detail and quality assurance are needed to ensure that all social media content is published correctly and flag any issues regarding the content.

  • Data entry using various content management and scheduling systems.

 

Experience

   

  • Experience scheduling and publishing social media content at scale within an agency or digital marketing setting is preferred.

  • Experience scheduling social media content, both via a third-party scheduling system and natively. 

  • Experience using Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

  • Copywriting and editing for social media.

  • Ability to manage client relationships and expectations.

  • Ability to multitask and manage your time effectively.

  • All applicants must be currently eligible to work in Canada.

  • Never dull, fast-paced environment where  quality of work, proactive attitude, and attention to detail are equally important.

  • A balance of creative ideation and detailed content management.

  • Fully remote with the ability to work from anywhere within Canada.

  • Requires the ability to self-manage time and tasks, focusing on the outcome rather than the input. 

  • Collaborative interaction with the Director of Client Service, Social Media Strategist, and other team members.

  • A dynamic and evolving work setting reflecting the fast-paced nature of social media.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $65,000 - $75,000 CAD
